Session 4

Heroes: Aelarion, Broil, Oculor, Sengar.

When Oculor steps on the dais before the sarcophagus, the bas-relief animates, and says "Speak my name". Understading this information is required to open the lid, and lacking the knowledge to decipher the glyphs they encountered in the tomb, the Heroes decide to go back to Diamond Lake to consult Allustan, a renowned wizard and loremaster.

There they meet Aelarion and Sengar, who are also seeking Allustan's knowledge. Luckily Aelarion is also versed in occult lore, and offers to accompany them back into the tomb. With his help, they understand that the tomb was built to honour Zosiel, a powerful Wind Duke who fought in the Battle of Pesh against the forces of Chaos ages before.

When they open the lid, they do not find a corpse, but they retrieve two magical objects: a diadem bearing the symbol of Zosiel himself, and a talisman of the spheres, a powerful item that can control the dreadful spheres of annihilation. Having completed their exploration, the Heroes return to Diamond Lake to inform Allustan of their findings.

Session 3

Heroes: Broil, Geryon, Oculor, Rahel.

The ghost of Alastor Land reveals itself; he asks the Heroes to recover his bones from the room, and bury them in his family's little graveyard, so that he may rest together with his loved ones. If they do that, he will open for them the huge iron door that now separates them from the last chamber of the tomb.

The Heroes go to the Land Farmstead, where they find the graves of the Land family empty; someone has been there recently, and has stolen the remains. In the house, they find a human severed arm, bearing a tattoo they've seen before on the half-orc Kullen. Soon they realize how that happened: an hungry Owlbear crashes through the rotten wooden walls, attacking them.

They kill the beast, and make their way to the the Feral Dog, where they last met Kullen. The half-orc and his gang are not very cooperative, but after a short fight the Heroes manage to get some answers from Kullen. He was hired by a necromancer named Filge, now residing in the Old Observatory, to procure a few corpses for some "experiment".

The Heroes reach the Old Observatory, where they must fight several undead (among them the animated remains of Alastor's family), before they have a chance to meet Filge himself. The necromancer first tries to kill the Heroes, but after being defeated he reveals that he was called to Diamond Lake by an old friend, Balabar Smenk (see letter to Filge) to investigate the unsettling events taking place in the Dourstone mines.

Having recovered the remains of Alastor's family, the Heroes bury them, and go back to the cairn, where they can finally access the True Tomb. But there are still two guardians to contend with: fearsome Wind Warriors rise from a pillar of howling air to stop the Heroes.

With these foes also defeated, the Heroes can now focus their attention on the marble sarcophagus laying in front of them.

Session 2

Heroes: Broil, Geryon, Oculor, Rahel.

The Heroes discover a secret passage leading to the lower levels of the tomb, but are soon attacked by several swarms of acid beetles, led by an horrendous mad slasher.

They delve into the lower compound, where they find a few submerged rooms. In one of these rooms, they eventually find the missing lantern.

Back in the sarcophagus room, they position and light all the lantern, in this way disabling the magical trap they encountered before.

Beyond, they enter a room protected by a monstrous grick. As they fight the creature, a childish voice taunts them, filling the room with its laughter. But when the Heroes defeat the tentacled beast, whoever taunted them is nowhere to be seen.

Session 1

Heroes: Broil, Geryon, Oculor, Rahel.

The Heroes investigate one of the many cairns surrounding Diamond Lake. The place is now inhabited by a pack of wolves, which they must face before they can proceed further. Ancient relics can be found, among them a broken frame surronded by shards of black stone, and a colored lantern, belonging to a set of 7 lanterns to be found in the sarcophagus room. Even with the one found by the Heroes, there's still one lantern missing.

In this huge hall, the Heroes also find the way to an hidden tunnel, protected by a magical trap. They realize that the only way to bypass this stony guardian is to recover the missing lantern.
