The Heroes delve deep into the carrion pit, until they find the Mother Worm; in the guts of the monstrous creature, they find one of the keys necessary to open the Vault.
They return to the Citadel of Weeping Dragons, where they meet again with Vercinabex. But this latest meeting with him does not end well, especially when the giant introduces them to his Marilith demon ally. The Heroes decide to forsake their deal with the giant, and slaughter both of them.
